As CVI’s Program Associate, Sam provides vital support for our programmatic work with the Boards & Commissions, Clean Energy For All, and Democracy For All programs. 

My story

I’m a conservation voter because I am deeply moved by the Native Hawaiian politics of aloha ‘āina. I believe that people and the environment are in a reciprocal relationship; the Earth takes care of us so in turn we must take care of it. After moving to Boise in 2020 to be closer to family, my sister introduced me to Idaho’s natural beauty and her love of the outdoors inspires me every day. Fighting for the preservation of our natural world is my love letter to her and the future generations that get to call this beautiful planet home.

Reading, sewing and embroidery, rollerblading, gardening, canoeing, biking, thrifting, aerial silks, and going on walks every day with my mom and my dog.
