After being born and raised in Washington, D.C., Renee moved to Boise with her spouse, leaving behind an exciting career in the Allied Health Profession at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. After eleven years, Idaho is ‘home’ and she has continued interest in social justice initiatives and lending a helping hand to service. As a cohort and graduate of the 2022 CVI’s Boards and Commissions Fellowship Program, Renee was a mentor for the 2023 Fellowship Program and looks forward to sharing her experiences that have empowered her to serve her community. She learned to love the great outdoors in her formative years on her grand-parents farm and later teaching her own kids to enjoy nature and to appreciate open spaces. She enjoys spending quality time with her grandchildren, walking, riding her bike on the Greenbelt, hiking the foot-hills, fishing in Idaho rivers, amateur gardening and access to public lands. She is enthusiastic to serve on this board to help conserve and protect our land, water, air and natural resources.
