Is there an election coming up?

Yes! There’s an important election day on November 5, 2019.

How do I vote in it?

Here are all the ways that you can cast your ballot in the upcoming election:

Absentee Voting (Vote by mail): You can get a ballot mailed to your house, where you can do research and complete it in the privacy of your own home. You must be registered to vote in Idaho to request an absentee ballot. Complete this PDF Absentee Request Form for an Absentee Ballot and submit to your county clerk by Friday, October 25 at 5 p.m. Your completed absentee ballot must be returned by Tuesday, November 5 (Election Day) at 8:00 p.m.

Early Voting: Want to make sure you beat the lines and get an “I voted” sticker? Will you be traveling on November 5? You can head to early voting locations in your county between October 21 and November 1. Contact your County Clerk for the dates, times and location of early voting in your county. Most counties use the county courthouse or elections office for early voting. Click on this link for a list of Idaho county clerks. Early voting ends in all counties at 5:00 p.m. on November 1.

Election Day: On November 5, polls will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. You can contact your county clerk to find your polling place here.

I’m registered. Do I need to bring anything with me?

If you have registered to vote prior to Election Day, take your photo ID OR you can sign the Personal Identification Affidavit.

What if I’m not registered to vote?

Not registered to vote? IT’S NOT TOO LATE. You can register at the polls during early voting and on November 5! All you need is proof of residency, like a utility bill- any mail you have received at your address with your name on it and bring a photo ID.
