LAND & WATER CONSERVATION

Conservation Voters for Idaho advocates for conservation funding in local and statewide political spaces in order to safeguard the following priorities:

1
Making Open Space and Public Lands Accessible to All

CVI advocates for making Idaho’s public lands safe, accessible, and welcoming to all, including communities of individuals who have historically been excluded from enjoying the great outdoors due to safety concerns, physical accessibility, or income.

Conservation and Preservation of Idaho's Lands and Waters

CVI advocates for the creation of permanent conservation funding in local communities as well as from state government, to preserve local open space enjoyed by community members and large-scale lands and waters that are treasured by all Idahoans.

3
Enhance Idaho's Outdoor Recreation Industry

CVI supports opportunities to elevate Idaho’s outdoor recreation industry. Thousands of locals and visitors take advantage of Idaho’s abundant recreation activities, supporting small businesses and bringing $4.4 billion annually to Idaho’s economy.

Proud Member of the Idahoans For Public Lands coalition

As part of the Idahoans For Public Lands coalition, we supported the 2023 legislation to allocate $95 million to Idaho’s 30 state parks for maintenance, expansion, and future conservation. Help us thank our Governor Little and other lawmakers for passing this record investment into Idaho’s beloved state lands!
