Conservation Voters for Idaho (CVI) protects Idaho’s environment and quality of life by informing, engaging, and empowering citizens who care about our natural heritage, thriving democracy, and healthy communities. CVI is seeking a full-time Fundraising & Operations Associate to join our team who is dedicated to supporting the day-to-day fundraising and operations needs of the organization. The ideal candidate for this position has a passion for people and strong attention to detail.

This position will provide finance & administrative support to CVI’s Finance & Operations Director including office reception, coordinating organizational data, office maintenance, processing all invoices and receipts, and other basic financial procedures. This position will also further the fundraising efforts of the organization by supporting the Development Director with direct appeals, processing donations, and organizing events

Primary Tasks and Areas of Responsibility 

  • Support financial operations including processing invoices and receipts, account coding and compiling reports as needed.
  • Process donations and prepare thank you letters.
  • Maintain contact records, compile lists and reports in the donor database.
  • Administer monthly donor program.
  • Maintain grants calendar and grant tracking documents with complete files and accurate dates for current and future grant periods.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and conduct general errands and courier services.
  • Answer the organization telephone (operator extension) and direct callers to appropriate staff.
  • Schedule meetings; manage office calendar and aid in meeting preparation.
  • Assist Board of Directors with scheduling committee meetings and meeting packet preparation and logistical needs for meetings. Support various board committees as directed.
  • Support CVI events including Green Tie annual fundraiser, Idaho Gives and outreach events. Assist Fundraising and Program staff with event planning and support projects as needed. This may include tabling at public events.
  • Support staff by procuring supplies and equipment as needed. Ensure that the office supply room remains well-stocked and organized. Be contact for office maintenance.
  • Maintain office systems such as the phone system and copier, and make improvements with the support of vendors and contractors as needed.
  • Work with the leadership team to plan annual staff retreat, holiday party, and staff activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office


  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public affairs, journalism or related areas preferred but not required. 
  • Certificates in social media management or production, marketing or related areas preferred.
  • Preferred:
    • Previous fundraising experience
    • Previous experience supporting book keeping or financial work
    • Spanish language proficiency


This is a full-time position based in Boise, ID. CVI offers a hybrid work schedule with both in-office and remote work options; this position will be required to work in the office routinely and for meetings, as required.

This is a FLSA non-exempt position. Salary range is $40,000-$44,000 and will be dependent upon experience and skills.
