James R. Baugh

James Baugh (Jim) lives in Boise, Idaho. He was a civil rights attorney for over 40 years specializing in disability rights. He retired from being the Executive Director of DisAbility Rights Idaho in 2019. He is extremely skilled at analyzing statutes, regulations, and court decisions. For about 20 years, he worked primarily in public policy – mostly the Idaho Legislature and state agency rule-making. He is also skilled at communicating with policy makers whose ideology is very different from mine. His talents are that he learns quickly and is good at understanding and communicating complex information. James said that has a mentor, he hopes that he “can help people make the world a little better by influencing public policy.”
