IDAHO — At Conservation Voters for Idaho (CVI), we are proud of the wins of our endorsed candidates and the milestone municipal levy passed in Boise, in the November 4th, 2025 Election.

With 46% of our endorsed candidates winning their election, we know that our fight for public lands, energy independence, and right-to-vote is a fight that has many champions. These victorious candidates and ballot measures include:

  • Colin Nash – Boise City Council District 2
  • Jordan Morales – Boise City Council District 4
  • Jimmy Hallyburton – Boise City Council District 6
  • Jim Francis – Idaho Falls City Council Seat 4
  • Jim Freeman – Idaho Falls City Council Seat 6
  • Nathan Murray – Twin Falls City Council
  • Sage Sauerbrey – Hailey City Council
  • Sage McCetich – Moscow City Council
  • Ann Swanson – Pocatello City Council

Additionally, CVI led the campaign to pass the 2025 Boise Clean Water and Open Space Levy with 80.7% of the vote! This was a direct result of Boiseans coming together to stand for the things that make our city such a wonderful place to live.

“We are so proud to utilize our knowledge and expertise to lead the Yes for Boise Levy campaign. As the only political conservation nonprofit local to Idaho, this campaign was about meeting the moment, and showing Boise voters the importance of voting in local elections,” said Alexis Pickering, Conservation Voters for Idaho Executive Director.

During this campaign cycle, we have worked tirelessly to elect pro-conservation candidates at the municipal and county level and demonstrated our dedication to the environment and democracy. CVI is uniquely positioned to work with endorsed candidates across Idaho – both directly on their campaigns and indirectly through PAC work — to help them win their races and champion conservation policies. This organizational ability to work on a two-pronged campaign approach is one of the differentiators that has enabled CVI to pursue and pass significant political wins in our 20 years in existence.

“We work to demonstrate that local elections matter, municipal elections matter, and passing local measures matters. Off year elections have traditionally low turnouts, which means it’s more important than ever that Idahoans vote,” said Pickering.

Local elections have a direct impact on voters across the state and it is for this reason that municipal elections are so important. During this campaign season, CVI knocked 10,698 doors, worked directly with candidates to knock an additional 7,500 doors, sent 40,384 text messages, reached 316,900 through social media, trained candidates at our 2-day CVI Candidate Training Program in May, and shared resources, such as, a candidate fundraising script/training to help them fund their work.

Thank you for helping power CVI through your time, resources, and energy. Campaigns take all of us, and we look forward to continuing this work with our 15,000+ members across the state.
