After a busy and unprecedented mail-in primary election, it’s time to get inspired and gear up for the rest of 2020 at our Virtual Green Tie Celebration!

This year’s theme is “Regeneration” to call attention to the importance of our outdoor spaces as a mental and spiritual refuge, and to provide images and artwork of hope and inspiration during this challenging time that remind us why we must continue our fight to protect the environment and ensure a healthy, equitable future for all. We hope you will join us this week by celebrating our 15th year anniversary, bidding on auction items, hearing from local conservation champions and CVI supporters, and much more!

Thanks to a special anonymous donor, all donations made during Green Tie will be matched up to $15,000!

Please explore and have fun! Thank you, as always, for your support.

Start Here: Welcome to our 2020 Green Tie!

The staff and board of directors at Conservation Voters for Idaho is committed to creating a just, inclusive and healthy future for all, but we recognize that environmental issues and threats to our democracy have had a disproportionate effect on people of color.

Although leading much of the environmental justice work throughout the nation, people of color have historically been relegated to the sidelines and left out of the decision-making process. Conservation Voters for Idaho is committed to sharing power, seeking input and involvement, and working with these communities as we further our mission.

As such, as a small first step of what we hope will be many in working to address environmental injustices and lift up the voices of communities of color working in Idaho and across the nation, we will be donating 30% of Green Tie donations to local partners led by people of color and from our most impacted communities.

We recognize that, historically, the conservation movement has been fraught with exclusion, racism, and social inequality. We know CVI can and should do better to combat social and racial inequities and, like many of you out there, we’re figuring out how we can do this work both individually and collectively as an organization. We hope this small action is just the beginning of our strengthened commitment to this work.
