Candidate Trainings

Providing the campaign tools you need to succeed.

Conservation Voters for Idaho’s campaign trainings demystify the campaign process by sharing practical campaign experience in a supportive environment. These trainings feature discussions around messaging, fundraising, campaign planning, and field strategy.

Upcoming Trainings

CVI is hosting a two-day Candidate Training in Boise on April 29-30. The training will give potential candidates the resources and knowledge they need to start your campaign for public office. All experience levels are welcome to apply!

Participants in this training will:

  1. Gain the skills to run effective campaigns, from crafting fundraising plans to requesting donations. Participants will be able to practice what they learn and apply skills immediately after the training.
  2. Begin developing a campaign plan that creates the roadmap to successfully winning your campaign.
  3. Get one-on-one coaching and space to ask questions specific to your campaign.
  4. Devote time to building strong relationships, because you will need each other to get elected and once they are elected. Trusting relationships are the key to real accountability and effective governance!

This training is free for undeclared, prospective candidates, and we encourage environmental and education champions from
across Idaho to apply.

RSVP by April 17, 2023! Apply today!
