Conservation Voters for Idaho is proud to present our candidate endorsements for Idaho’s upcoming 2022 election on November 8th.

Like you, all of us here at Conservation Voters for Idaho share a deep passion for protecting Idaho’s environment and democracy. We also know that the best chance we have in that endeavor is to elect strong conservation champions to office.

With Idaho’s new legislative districts leading to significant turnover in the Statehouse, it’s even more important that we elect candidates with the experience, expertise, and influence to effectively navigate the complexities of the Idaho Legislature.

From races all across Idaho, our Board of Directors has selected an esteemed list of conservation champions who have demonstrated their commitment to protecting Idaho’s public lands, open space, clean air and water, and thriving democracy.

As the only organization in Idaho working to elect pro-conservation candidates to office, Conservation Voters for Idaho’s Board of Directors take our endorsement decisions very seriously. Each candidate who sought our endorsement was evaluated through a multi-step review and voting process using criteria set by our Board.

We strongly believe these candidates not only bring a passion for conservation but also the political know-how to successfully enact bold change for Idaho’s environment.

We encourage you to learn more about how we came to our decisions, our rigorous endorsement process and criteria for selection, by visiting our Endorsements page. Our complete list of endorsed candidates across the state is available here

We encourage you to research and learn more about candidates running for office in your community. Reach out to candidates and don’t be afraid to ask them about their positions on the issues that matter to you. You can also share our list of endorsed candidates with friends and family who live in those communities.

It is up to each of us to exercise our right to vote and to support those candidates who will work to protect Idaho’s healthy lands and clean air and water. If you need guidance on any part of the process, visit our Voting Resources page. Please make a plan to vote, and make sure that your friends, family, neighbors, hiking partners and colleagues remember to vote! Idaho’s public lands, water, air and robust democracy depend on it.
