Cieara Davis grew up in rural Idaho and Wyoming before spending most of her teenage years in Boise, Idaho where she went on to study Psychology and Strategic Integrated Communications at Boise State University. She now resides back in her hometown of Shoshone, Idaho where she is focused on being a community builder and change maker.
Cieara passionately works to motivate young Idahoans to get involved in policy that influences their future. She is dedicated to elevating rural voices within the Idaho Democratic Party by serving as the Vice Chair of the Rural Caucus and Chair of the Lincoln County Democratic Central Committee.
With a background in communications, training and development, and leadership, Cieara enjoys building and working within respectful, inclusive, and innovative teams to create a forward-thinking world where all people can thrive.
Through this fellowship, Cieara hopes to further deepen her understanding of the processes that govern our boards and commissions and learn how to efficiently lead and serve within them. She is looking forward to working with like-minded individuals, developing relationships with mentors, strengthening her confidence in leading as a queer woman, and learning how to best welcome others to take their seat at the table.
In her spare time, Cieara enjoys reading personal development books, listening to true crime podcasts, cooking new recipes, and spending time with her beloved miniature schnauzer Daisy.
