After being a fellow in 2021, Tia Nowacki is excited to return to CVI as a mentor in 2022. The leadership and civic skills developed during the program provided her with confidence to pursue a position on the Boise City Open Space and Clean Water Advisory Committee, where she currently serves. As a certified athletic trainer and avid runner, she believes that nature and outdoor activity is generally the best medicine for individual happiness and a flourishing community.

Tia has always enjoyed helping others. She strives to motivate others to live full and meaningful lives. After 5 years working with high school athletes, she now works at St. Luke’s Orthopedics supporting several surgical teams and teaching pre-operative education.  She enjoys her role helping others understand their injuries, the recovery process, and resiliency in returning to their preferred activities. Since completion of the fellowship, she has also taken on the chair position of St. Luke’s Orthopedics Care Council to improve patient care. She also works independently as a certified health coach helping individuals achieve their personal wellness goals and thrive by their own definition of success.

Tia looks forward to continued participation with CVI and connecting with other motivated individuals to help serve Idahoans. She lives in Boise with her partner and adorable cats.
