Meet the 2022 Boards and Commissions Fellowship Cohort

Susan Manika

Susan Manika was born and raised in Kenya where she completed her higher education.  She currently resides in Boise, Idaho and is proud to call Idaho home. As a black African immigrant, Susan  is always seeking ways in which to best serve the needs and interests of her community. Susan also works for a local nonprofit organization. She has applied for the program because she saw a need for representation of people like her on Idaho Boards and Commissions. Something that she wants to get from the Fellowship program is to learn how to effectively represent the interests  of her community to these boards, and how best to apply. She enjoys reading, hiking, cooking and spending time with family in her spare time.
