Meet the 2021 Boards and Commissions Fellowship Cohort

Dalten Fox

Dalten Fox is a full-time student in the Master of Public Administration program at Boise State University. Originally from Minnesota, Dalten completed his BA in Environmental Politics at Colorado State University, and now calls Boise home. In addition to his studies, Dalten also serves as a research associate at the Energy Policy Institute, working on understanding how governance and institutional design affect policy and market outcomes. As an environmentalist and socialist, Dalten is interested in figuring out how governance can be better suited to advance socially and ecologically sustainable policy. Dalten applied to the fellowship because he saw a need for better LGBTQ+ representation in the public sector and especially within Idaho.

From serving in this fellowship, Dalten hopes to represent LGBTQ+ persons and to inspire others within the community to seek out public sector roles in order to grow the community’s existence within the political landscapes of the region. In suit with his passion for politics, Dalten hopes to pursue a PhD in public policy and administration come fall of 2021.
