2024 Mentor: Blanca Romero Green

Blanca Romero Green was born in Zacatecas, Mexico and grew up in Twin Falls along with her two siblings. She graduated from Twin Falls High School in 2004. Blanca moved to Hailey, Idaho in 2014 with her two daughters, who are currently a freshman and a junior in Blaine County High School. Blanca currently works at The Hunger Coalition, a food bank in Bellevue, as the Programs and Operations Manager. Blanca developed an interest in advocacy after seeing the effects of food insecurity across the county and running for office in 2021.

She now wants to see more Latino representation in local offices across Blaine county and the state. She is the first Latina elected to office as a school board trustee in Blaine county.  Blanca enjoys spending time with her family and pets in her off time, as well as enjoying the natural beauty of the Wood River Valley in the summertime.
