2024 Fellow: Jane Lopez

Jane Lopez was born in Los Angeles, California but raised in Hailey, Idaho. She has an associates degree in secondary education and Spanish.  She worked for Blaine County school District for 19 years.  During her time she had the opportunity to learn about the diverse community and it also allowed her to build deep roots with the families in the community. She currently works for The Hunger Coalition as the Community Organizer. She was excited to take on this new role and challenge.  It would allow her the opportunity to bring her community together, empower them and become stronger as a collective.

She joined the Boards & Commissions program because she wants to continue to strengthen her skills in advocacy.  She wants to be an advocate for those that feel unheard and underrepresented on boards and commissions.

She would like to continue to represent the Latinx community in the best way possible and educate them in that they have a voice.

Jane loves spending time with her 4 children.  They keep her busy with their sports and in their spare time they enjoy exploring new places.  She loves listening to music and reading a good book.
