I grew up in Springfield, Illinois. I moved west to Spokane after my teenage years. I then moved to Boise in 1989. I immediately fell in love with Idaho’s outdoors and scenery . Vast mountains, rivers , deserts and foothill spaces! I graduated from BSU in Nursing School in 1998. Over my years of practice, I clearly could see the strong connection between physical and mental well-being to nature. For me personally, being outside was always helpful to reenergize me after a hard day! I always felt that I could never give back mor, to the outdoors could give back to me! I have many outdoor activities that I enjoy. Hiking, skiing, gardening, and camping are just a few of them. My introduction to work with CVI started being on the board of the Land Trust to get the second foothills levy passed. It was a great experience working with the CVI staff! And eventually led to me becoming a CVI board member. I love so many things CVI. The importance of environment and inclusion being just a few of them.
