Endorsements
Each year, CVI endorses candidates based on their responses to our political questionnaire, voting history, and proven support for Idaho’s public land heritage, clean energy, clean air, and pure water. We have endorsed the following candidates based on our stringent criteria:
Boise Mayoral Race: Mayor Dave Bieter
Boise City Council: Lauren McLean, Elaine Clegg, Scot Ludwig
Sandpoint Mayoral Race: Shelby Rognstad
Voter Information
Voting by Mail: Voting by mail is easy; you can do it from the comfort of you home. You can obtain an absentee ballot request form simply by clicking on this link , printing out the request form and sending it in to Ada County Election, 400 Benjamin Ln. Suite 100, Boise, ID 83704. Once you send your request form in your ballot should arrive in the mail shortly. Please note, request forms must be submitted to the Ada County Elections Office no later than 5pm on October 28th.
Early Voting: If you’re worried about finding time to cast you vote on Election Day, you can take advantage of early voting. Early voting begins October 19th and October 30th, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, at the Ada County Elections Office located at 400 N. Benjamin Ln. in Boise. If you live or work in central Boise, there is another early voting location at the Ada County Indigent Services Office at 252 E. Front St. Boise, ID 83702 (right next to the Ada County Courthouse). If weekends are more convenient, the Benjamin location will have early voting available on Saturday, October 24th from 10am-4pm.
Election Day: The regular general elections will be Tuesday November 3rd. Polls are open from 8am-8pm. You can find your polling place here
